What People Are Saying

Sandi at Upper Pups has been a god send for our family! I have 2 rescue puppies and 2 rescue cats that I got all in the same year. Sandi worked with my first pup to be more well mannered with my cats. Amazing! They are best of friends now! We are on our second set of training sessions with pup #2! Her method of training is simply amazing and has worked wonders! My dog is so well trained because of her! She has even helped me in a pinch during her family time on a Sunday afternoon! Sandi is professional and extremely knowledgeable of all aspects of dog training and health. I wouldn't know what I would have done without her! If you are thinking of getting a new dog or are having issues with your current dog, CALL SANDI AT UPPER PUPS!

When I reached out to Sandi, my mini schnauzer Leila was about 10months old. It was hard to get her attention when she barked/didn’t want to listen at certain times. I reached out to Sandi because I really liked how she came to the house to see how Leila is in her environment. In the first visit it took leila 40min to willingly go up to Sandi (she’s super shy, sometimes fearful of new people, she has gotten so much better!) but after the 2nd and rest of visits Leila was so happy to see her! Sandi really helped with addressing issues such as barking at the door when someone comes in and the steps I can take to lessen it. Sandi was so great with Leila and Leila loved her so much and was always so happy to see her. She also helped with leash walking and now it is so much easier to take Leila out on walks. I definitely recommend using her services for dog training!!

Sandi Vesay is 5 Star and A+ in our book. She visited us when our mixed breed puppy Ryder was 14 weeks old with way too much energy and too many sharp puppy teeth. We needed help. Sandi uses positive behavior training techniques. Her modeling and demonstrations are clear, easy to follow and work. She has great strategies, tips for routines and toy and treat recommendations that helped us be successful and encouraged us to stick to the program. Within 24 hours of training sessions, Sandi emails a summary of the skill taught and step by step directions. This practice really helped us to work together and be consistent. We are very satisfied with Ryder's growth and progress. Sandi Vesay and Upper Pups have our highest recommendation!

We had a great experience. I have a small adult dog and giant breed puppy, and Sandi had tons of recommendations for improving their relationship. We bought just a consult, but as soon as she left we were buying her largest package. That should tell you everything!

Hey everyone Janice Livanos here our fur baby is Daisy she’s an English Lab.. we started working with Sandi when she was only 12 weeks and It was such a huge deal for us. We had gone thru a major loss with our prior dog Leo, he got aggressive with the kids and we had to put him down. Hardest decision ever.. we miss him dearly.. so when we got Daisy we wanted to start off strong and not create bad habits ensure she had a wonderful start. Training us and her was a big deal.. Daisy is now 1 and is happy, listens great Sandi is our best friend now lol!! Always helps guide us and has become part of family. Our oldest child she even knows how to train Daisy because she was always so welcoming of the children learning also.. Thank you Sandi for all you do for us!! Daisy is a Happy Pup and the best dog for our family 💕🙏🏻

You are in good hands with Sandi and let me tell you why: She is passionate about what she does. She is constantly seeking out new knowledge of training techniques and dog behavior; she is always researching and improving and optimizing. She is driven by her innate desire to understand things and provide a solution. For others dog training is a profession but for Sandi it is her calling. You’ll know it within minutes of meeting her. Give her a chance! I promise you will be so thankful for her once you work with her.

So glad we found Sandi at the Upper Pups! She is a joy to work with. We are in NJ for the summer and decided that Pepper, a 9 year old miniature schnauzer, needed some training. He had several issues including charging and barking at joggers as they walk by the bench we sit at. He's completely "cured" of that. Also removing him from the sofa was a bit of a challenge to say the least - now he jumps off with the "off" command.
Sandi uses positive reinforcement which is what we were looking for. It is quite apparent that Sandi loves animals and is very knowledgeable. One morning, Pepper vomited when we were on the bench. As a former vet tech, she checked him out when we went back to the condo. I felt comfortable with her opinion that he was ok. I wish we could take Sandi back home to AZ with us and not just because of her ability with dogs!
