About Me
I have been obsessed with saving animals since I could walk. From the backyard brook in NY saving frogs to Hurricane Katrina saving dogs, I've been everywhere. No matter where I've lived, one thing has been a constant: How can I help more animals? For the past 2 decades, I've been in veterinary medicine so I can help you with any medical questions or concerns you may have with your dog. If your dog poops look funny, you can reach out and I can guide you. I've made sure that I've been well educated to take this career path on my own. Working with shelter dogs has always been my draw as I know how difficult it can be to not know where your dog came from. The great thing is that you saved them and it's only up from here!
After retiring from the veterinary world, for the past 3 years, I've been doing virtual dog training which is amazing to teach people from all over the world, but I was ready to help locally. When not working and not "momming", I can be seen most always running with my dogs or at my local gym lifting weights. Physical exercise has always been something inside of me. I also spend quite a bit of time in the backyard with my chickens and growing food from the garden. I'm also a certified adult and kids yoga instructor! But in all honesty, it's always been animals I preferred teaching.
In 2021, I took the plunge and became certified in Aggression with Michael Shikashio. From working with many aggressive/fearful dogs in my shelter/adopting past, I wanted to make sure I was more educated for the cases coming to me from here on out. I continue to take mentor courses with him and any continuing education he presents.
